The Flex TPU gaiter is attached to the back of the boot shell. It is the first of its kind: we are proud to have designed the back part of the boot to be functional yet comfortable for the horse to wear. As long as the boots are fitted and used correctly, Flex Boots will not chafe or rub your horse’s legs or heel bulbs. The TPU gaiters are designed to keep the boots in place and allow for sizing adjustment to ensure the best possible fit for your horse. The Flex neoprene gaiters attach to the TPU gaiter to prevent rubbing.

Sizing
Flex TPU gaiters are available in seven sizes and the same TPU gaiters fit both the standard and wide Flex Boot styles.
If your horse has unusually thick or thin legs, you may need to size the gaiters up or down respectively to improve the boot fit. Note that this means you will also need to have different size neoprene gaiters. Flex Boots can be purchased as custom boots, with larger or smaller size TPU gaiter already attached to the boot shell.
Materials
Flex TPU gaiters are made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), a material that is often called a hybrid between plastic and rubber. TPU offers the flexibility of rubber, but with the strength and durability of plastic.
Care instructions
Flex TPU gaiters are easy to clean and maintain. The TPU material keeps its elasticity and lasts longer if the product is in regular use. After use, simply brush clean, rinse off any dirt and hang to dry in a well-ventilated place. Do not use cleaning products, and do not store the TPU gaiters in a closed space such as a box or in your car.
